Walmart Removes ‘Offensive’ T-Shirt Featuring Hidden Swear Word

A woman was absolutely livid after coming across a children’s T-shirt at a supermarket that accidentally spells out a risqué word.

Slogan tees are all the rage – they’re a fun way to express your vibes, whether it’s through an inspiring quote or lyrics from a bop you can’t get out of your head.

But one T-shirt has become the talk of the town for the wrong reasons.

Taking to TikTok, user @wh0l3h3art3dly, also known as Brianna, spotlighted a kid’s T-shirt from Walmart that raised some eyebrows.

Her video caption says it all: “Frickin Walmart… strikes again… Walmart Canada on a child’s shirt… really?!?!”

The tee in question is a bright green number featuring the oversized letters ‘RE’ with the words ‘Recycle’, ‘Reuse’, ‘Renew’, and ‘Rethink’ printed beneath.

Designed to cheer on eco-friendliness, this shirt secretly carries a message that’s quite the opposite when you take a closer look!

Brianna teases her viewers with a challenge: “Where is the hidden word in this?”

Viewers are flooding the comments with their reactions, with one noting: “Yeah someone needs to re-think the wording.”

Another viewer remarks: “Someone didn’t proof that well enough.”

“It took me a second and then I audibly gasped lmao,” says another, shocked.

Some are jumping to Walmart’s defense in the comments, suggesting it was just an innocent blunder.

One user comments: “In my opinion, I don’t think the people who made that shirt realize what they did, so really it’s no one’s fault.”

Another agrees: “I think the design is flawed. However. I don’t think it was done with malicious intent.”

Interestingly, the mishap has actually boosted the tee’s appeal for some.

“I want it just because of that,” a TikToker confesses.

“Not me running to buy it RIGHT NOW,” another chimes in, eager.

Upon closer inspection, the naughty word becomes obvious as the first letter of each word vertically, excluding ‘RE’, forms ‘c***’.

Brianna cheekily concludes the mystery by saying: “See you next Tuesday.”

Following the viral uproar, Walmart has confirmed that the T-shirt has been removed from its shelves.

A spokesperson from the retail behemoth told Newsweek: “This was not intentional, and the T-shirt has been removed.”

In a statement to The Independent, Walmart clarified: “The T-shirt has been removed, and for context, this item was only available in Canada.”

Despite being pulled from Walmart, it appears the infamous shirt is still up for grabs at other online shops.
