Miley Cyrus traded her iconic red shoes for an electric blue suit to join forces with new-wave icon David Byrne at her New Year’s Eve Party.
The duo performed a powerful rendition of the David Bowie classic, “Let’s Dance”, backed by a full band and a saxophone.
“Because my love for you”/”would break my heart in two,” they sang. “If you should fall into my arms”/”And tremble like a flower.”
Miley Cyrus and David Byrne took the stage by storm with a performance of the latter’s song “Everybody’s Coming To My House”. After a costume change, the two returned and thrilled the audience with their synchronized sways. Fans were left captivated by their performance.
Byrne returned to the stage later in the night to collaborate with Sia on her hit single, “Unstoppable”. Other celebrated performances included tracks by Fletcher, Rae Sremmurd, and Paris Hilton, as well as a passionate duet between Miley Cyrus and her godmother, Dolly Parton, of the classic song, “I Will Always Love You.”
Byrne and Cyrus have been unable to come to a consensus on what their potential band name should be, but the enthusiasm of the audience has made it clear that they would love to see the two back on stage together soon.
