At first glance, it might appear that someone has done something rather cruel to an adorable baby for the sake of a picture, but in reality, this is a “test tube” of another sort.
The baby above isn’t the only little tyke who has undergone this ordeal (it’s all for a good reason, we promise!). In fact, there are many others. This little cutie seems to be enjoying herself too much.

The tube-shaped contraption, called the Pigg O Stat, is a perfectly safe medical device used to hold babies still for much needed X-rays and other medical tests, as shown in this video from YouTube user Jason Kandle.
