Megan Fox is “relieved” that Machine Gun Kelly has moved on with Dakota Johnson, according to a source close to the actress.
The insider, speaking exclusively to the outlet, said Fox, 40, “genuinely wants him to find happiness with someone else because she’s totally done with that chapter of her life.” The “Transformers” star and the 36-year-old rocker, whose real name is Colson Baker, welcomed their daughter Saga Blade in March 2025 and have since maintained what the source described as a solid co-parenting relationship.
“They have a daughter together, so obviously he’s always going to be part of her life, and they have a good co-parenting relationship,” the insider explained. “But that’s where it ends for her. She wants them to be great parents without any confusion about where they stand romantically.”
Fox’s relief comes with a specific backstory. Even after the couple’s 2024 split — which happened while Fox was pregnant with their first child together — MGK continued to leave flirtatious comments on her social media. In March, the “Bloody Valentine” singer sparked headlines by commenting “Stoked i have your phone number” beneath a series of racy Instagram photos Fox shared upon returning to the platform.
“Even after they broke up, he was still leaving those flirty comments on her Instagram, and it felt like he was trying to get her attention,” the source said. “From Megan’s perspective, it’s like, ‘We tried, it didn’t work, and I’ve moved on.’ She doesn’t want to keep going through that back and forth.”
The source emphasized that Fox holds no ill will toward Johnson, 37. “It’s not that she has anything against Dakota. Actually, it’s the opposite. Megan genuinely hopes things work out between them because she wants MGK to be happy. She just doesn’t want to be the person he’s trying to have a romantic relationship with anymore.”

The outlet exclusively reported that the pair spent private time at their mutual friend Taylor Swift’s Tribeca apartment before dining at Estela. Earlier this month, MGK was reported to have spent the night at Johnson’s Los Angeles home following a studio session.
