Jeremy London has hit back at reports labeling him homeless, insisting he owns a Florida condo and calling celebrity news coverage of his situation “stupid.”
The “7th Heaven” actor, 54, took to X on Friday to push back against People’s reporting of his since-deleted Thursday post, in which he had asked followers for help finding work and housing. London specifically targeted the magazine’s framing of his plea, writing on the platform: “Guys … I have a condo in Florida. People mag out here making me look homeless 😂🤣.”

He continued in the same post, explaining the emotional state behind his original message: “I was just in shock from by [sic] boss’ behavior and didn’t want to have to go back to Florida. Jesus, they really have nothing else to report on 🥴.”
Less than an hour later, London broadened his critique to encompass the entire celebrity news apparatus. “Being a celebrity of any kind is so stupid. Our tweets should not be news. 😂,” he wrote on X.

The “Party of Five” alum also sought to calm worried supporters by commenting directly under an article about his initial post. “I promise you this was blown out of proportion,” he wrote in the comment section. “I have a condo in Florida. I just didn’t want to leave PA because I fell in love with it.”
He added further context about his mental state at the time of the original message: “I was definitely sad and in shock. But I’m not destitute. Apologies for confusing wording in the moment.”

The since-deleted Thursday post that triggered the coverage had painted a starkly different picture of London’s circumstances. “Guys … my boss is going through some kind of mental crisis and I may be losing my job and home … This can’t be happening again 😞,” he wrote on X reporting of the original message.
He continued in that post: “If anyone has a job and home for me out there, please let me know. I love working a real job on top of acting. I’m a good person. Why does this keep happening to me?? I’m not ok.”

London also disclosed in the original post that the situation was taking a physical toll, noting he was “having a hard time breathing” and that it was affecting his sleep. He expressed hope that his boss was “just having a manic episode of some kind” and reiterated that he was “in shock.”
When a social media user pushed back on his claims of hardship by noting he was “such a busy actor,” London replied directly: “I wish this was true. It’s why I try to keep other jobs. Most actors starve otherwise.”

The “Mallrats” star’s history of public difficulties includes a 2018 arrest in Jackson County, Mississippi, on domestic violence charges. At that time, his representative attributed the incident to an “emotionally charged situation” between London and his wife, Juliet Reeves, whom he married in 2014.

London’s Friday clarifications mark his first extended public statements since the Thursday post that set off a wave of fan concern and media coverage about his wellbeing and living situation.
