McDonald’s unveils Global Menu for Paris Olympics, accessibility may be an issue

McDonald’s has introduced a new menu to commemorate the Olympics, but obtaining these limited-time burgers might be challenging.

Don’t worry, this isn’t a secret menu available only to top-tier Olympic athletes.

While that idea could be amusing, it likely wouldn’t be very profitable for McDonald’s.

Before diving into how to acquire these food items, it’s important to understand how the fast food giant is harnessing the Olympic global spirit.

The menu features items from McDonald’s locations around the globe. The seven countries represented are Indonesia, Canada, the Philippines, Cyprus, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

For those who don’t typically try different McDonald’s offerings worldwide, this is a great chance to enjoy something both unique and familiar.

The menu items include:

The Maple BBQ Quarter Pounder from Canada: A quarter-pound beef patty, bacon, onions, cheese, lettuce, and a special maple barbecue sauce that provides a sweet and tangy taste.

Greek Mac from Cyprus: Two tender beef patties with lemon sauce, onions, lettuce, and sliced tomatoes, all wrapped in pita bread.

Filet-O-Fish Deluxe from New Zealand: Similar to the classic, but featuring a larger fish patty, American cheese, lettuce, and tartar sauce.

Garlic Sauce from the United Kingdom: A traditional garlic mayonnaise dip ideal for pairing with french fries.

Szechuan Sauce from the United States: A spicy and tangy dip perfect for McNuggets. Sounds schwifty to me…

Coca-Cola McFloat from the Philippines: A classic dessert featuring Coca-Cola topped with a generous serving of vanilla soft-serve.

Caramel Popcorn McFlurry from Indonesia: Creamy vanilla soft serve swirled with caramel sauce and sprinkled with crunchy caramel popcorn for a distinctive, indulgent dessert.

Before you gather friends and family for tonight’s meal, there’s a significant catch.

These items are exclusively available at McDonald’s in France. So, if you’re eager to try them, you may need to get your passport ready and head to France, unless you’re already there for the Olympics.

This special menu is available until September 2, 2024.

If it sounds too tempting to pass up, you now have an excellent reason to visit France, if you didn’t have one already.
