The internet is buzzing over the ‘shocking’ leaderboard of celebrities who have logged the most private jet miles in 2024.
Despite some stars advocating for climate change action, they continue to frequently use private jets for travel.
For those who have the financial means, traveling by private jet might seem like an obvious choice due to the significant time saved compared to traveling by train or car.
While it’s common knowledge that many celebrities make use of private jets, a leaderboard detailing the most frequent flyers has unveiled some surprising patterns.
According to CelebrityPrivateJetTracker.com, Taylor Swift’s Dassault Falcon 7X private jet has clocked nearly 92,000 miles in 2024 across 80 flights.
The aircraft has been airborne for a total of nine days, four hours, and 39 minutes.
Despite being frequently criticized for her jet usage, Swift isn’t even in the top five for private jet usage this year.
Leading the list is former Google CEO Eric Schmidt, whose Gulfstream G650 has taken off an astounding 493 times in 2024.
This accounts for 58 days, 18 hours, and 18 minutes of flight time and over 612,000 miles traveled.
Elon Musk is a predictable inclusion on the list, with one of his private jets ranking second after 320 flights this year.
To achieve this, over 461,000 miles were flown, producing a total of 5,105 metric tons of carbon emissions.
Kim Kardashian also makes the list, coming in third with significant air miles in 2024.
The SKIMS founder’s aircraft has recorded 236 flights this year, consuming 464,320 gallons of fuel.

This leaderboard gained viral attention after being shared on Reddit, including unexpected entries like George Lucas in 19th place, Dr. Phil at number 27, and Judge Judy at number 36.
One Reddit user described the list as ‘shocking’.
In contrast, another Reddit user highlighted a potential flaw in the data, noting: “One thing you can’t differentiate in this data is that many jet owners offset costs by allowing their jets to be chartered when not in use.
“There are several services that let owners rent out their planes to others when they’re not flying. Some jet owners also choose to lease their aircraft out for short-term use, which is often done through companies that offer fractional ownership or charter services.”
