Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are settling into married life without committing to a single zip code.
The pop superstar and the Kansas City Chiefs tight end, both 36, have mapped out a fluid living arrangement that will shuttle them between multiple homes across the country depending on their schedules, a source close to the couple said exclusively. Rather than planting roots in one city, the newlyweds plan to rotate through an impressive property portfolio that spans from the Midwest to both coasts.
“Right now, Travis’ Leawood [Kansas] home is his and Taylor’s primary residence and a big home base for them especially while he’s still playing for the Chiefs,” the insider said. “He bought the place a few years back. But that doesn’t mean Kansas City will always be their primary home. Where they’re based is going to change depending on what they both have going on.”
The source emphasized that the couple rejects the conventional newlywed expectation of picking one house and staying put. “They’re not looking at it like they have to pick one house and that’s where they’re going to live year round,” the insider explained. “Their lives take them to different places throughout the year, so where they consider home base is really going to depend on what they have going on at the time.”
New York City ranks as a major hub for the pair. Swift has owned her Tribeca penthouse for years and expanded her footprint there by combining penthouses and acquiring the neighboring townhouse. The couple put their Manhattan connection on display Sunday night with a romantic date at Ambassadors Clubhouse, an Indian restaurant in the NoMad district that has become a fashionable destination.
Beyond Kansas and New York, Swift’s existing real estate holdings in Nashville, Rhode Island and Beverly Hills give the couple additional landing pads. The insider noted that each property serves a practical purpose based on their professional and personal commitments.
Ohio will also factor heavily into their rotation, particularly during football offseason. “They’ll definitely be spending plenty of time at the new Ohio house too especially during Travis’ offseason,” the source said. “It’s this beautiful property in Bratenahl just a few miles from Cleveland Heights where he grew up. It’s not like they bought a house like that and aren’t planning to use it.”
The flexibility of their housing strategy will expand further once Kelce eventually retires from the NFL. For now, his football schedule anchors part of their calendar, with the Leawood home serving as headquarters during the season.
The couple’s post-wedding life follows a highly publicized ceremony at Madison Square Garden on July 3 that drew more than 1,000 guests. Swift’s longtime publicist, Tree Paine, confirmed that the “Love Story” singer wore a Christian Dior haute couture gown and that Adam Sandler officiated. Austin Swift stood as his sister’s “man of honor,” while Jason Kelce, Travis’s older brother, served as best man. The venue’s exterior lit up around 7:30 p.m. With pink digital screens reading “JUST&T MARRIED!”
Swift and Kelce revealed their engagement in August 2025 with a playful Instagram post captioned, “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married,” punctuated with a dynamite emoji nodding to their “TNT” nickname. Their romance first became public after Swift was spotted cheering at a Chiefs game in September 2023, launching nearly two whirlwind years together that culminated in their summer wedding.
