Details of Charlie Kirk’s funeral emerge as wife shares personal footage following his assassination

Details regarding the funeral for Charlie Kirk have been announced following his tragic assassination.

The prominent Conservative figure was shot in the neck and killed while addressing attendees at a Turning Point USA event at Utah Valley University on Wednesday, September 10.

The student organization shared the venue for the funeral on Twitter, inviting people to celebrate Charlie Kirk’s life and legacy: “Join us in celebrating the remarkable life and enduring legacy of Charlie Kirk, an American legend.

“The morning of Sunday, September 21, at State Farm Stadium, home of the Arizona Cardinals, in Glendale, AZ.”

Former President Trump also stated on Friday that he plans to attend the funeral, following his earlier address to the nation about Kirk’s death.

“To my great fellow Americans, I am filled with grief and anger at the heinous assassination of Charlie Kirk on a college campus in Utah,” he said in a video posted to his Truth Social.

Kirk’s wife, Erika, broke her silence after 22-year-old Tyler Robinson, the suspect from Utah, was arrested and identified on Friday.

In a heartfelt tribute shared via Instagram, the 36-year-old posted a series of images and videos, including touching moments by her husband’s open casket.

Erika was seen bending over the coffin, tenderly kissing Kirk’s hands.

Amid her tears, she repeatedly whispered ‘I love you,’ followed by ‘God bless you.’

During a livestream from Turning Point USA’s office in Phoenix, Arizona, Erika stood at a podium next to the chair her husband used for podcast recordings.

She shared how Kirk had a deep love for America, nature, and the Chicago Cubs, but above all, he ‘loved his children’ and cherished her, adding: “And he loved me. With all his heart. And he made sure I knew that every day.”

Erika also addressed those behind her husband’s assassination, without naming the suspect directly.

She emphasized that Kirk was targeted for spreading messages of patriotism and faith, saying: “You have no idea the fire that you have ignited within this wife, the cries of this widow will echo around the world like a battle cry.

“They should all know this: if you thought that my husband’s mission was powerful before, you have no idea what you just have unleashed across this entire country and this world.”
