Though Dave Franco is often recognized as the younger sibling of James Franco, he has established his own reputation through dedication and talent.
Dave has appeared in a number of successful films such as Now You See Me, 21 Jump Street, Superbad, and Neighbors. Most recently, he starred in the horror film Together alongside his wife Alison Brie, which garnered positive reviews from critics.
In recent times, Dave has become the more prominent Franco brother, especially after James faced exclusion from Hollywood.
Back in 2018, James was accused of sexual misconduct by five women, four of whom were his former acting students.
Following these allegations, two of the accusers initiated legal proceedings. Although James denied the accusations, he reached a settlement with the two women in 2021, agreeing to pay over $2 million.

As a consequence, James took a hiatus from Hollywood, with his close friend Seth Rogen publicly stating he would no longer work with him.
Dave had begun his acting career prior to the controversy surrounding his brother, but he maintains that while James did assist in getting him an agent, his achievements are due to his own abilities and perseverance.
In a recent interview with Bustle, Dave discussed his brother, stating, “No one was going to hire me just because I was James Franco’s little brother. If I sucked, I would’ve disappeared very quickly.”
He also mentioned his brother’s reaction to his continued success.
“At this point, I think he’s excited just to see me trying new things and to see me grow,” Dave expressed.

Upcoming for Dave is the film Now You See Me: Now You Don’t, the third installment of the Now You See Me series, with co-stars Isla Fisher, Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg, and Morgan Freeman returning alongside him.
Additionally, Dave has been rumored to be involved in another project, a biopic about Luigi Mangione.
Mangione is accused of the murder of UnitedHealth CEO Brian Thompson in December 2024, with trial hearings scheduled to begin on December 1.
Addressing the rumors about portraying Mangione, Dave told Andy Cohen on his show, “No one has approached me about it yet, I’ll say that. This is something that more people in my life reached out about this exact thing than anything else that has ever happened.
“Let’s just say, I’m open if it is the right people but let’s leave it at that.”
