Donald Trump has launched an angry broadside at NATO countries while also issuing a warning to Iran.
Donald Trump frequently uses social media to share his views on global developments, and his latest posts have sparked fresh reaction.
Posting on Truth Social, the former president criticized NATO allies, arguing they have not contributed to the current conflict involving Iran.
He also suggested the US does not rely on assistance from NATO nations, while urging people to remember what he described as a significant moment.
His comments follow earlier calls for allies to take a larger role as tensions escalated.
He wrote:” NATO NATIONS HAVE DONE ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO HELP WITH THE LUNATIC NATION, NOW MILITARILY DECIMATED, OF IRAN. THE U.S.A. NEEDS NOTHING FROM NATO, BUT “NEVER FORGET” THIS VERY IMPORTANT POINT IN TIME! President DONALD J. TRUMP.”

In another post, Trump turned his attention directly to Iran, saying the country should take negotiations with the US more seriously.
The post read: “The Iranian negotiators are very different and “strange.” They are “begging” us to make a deal, which they should be doing since they have been militarily obliterated, with zero chance of a comeback, and yet they publicly state that they are only ‘looking at our proposal.’
“WRONG!!! They better get serious soon, before it is too late, because once that happens, there is NO TURNING BACK, and it won’t be pretty! President DJT.”
Since the conflict began on February 28, following attacks on Iran involving the US and Israel, Trump has repeatedly portrayed the operation as a major success.
Iran has responded with missile strikes aimed at US military facilities located in nearby countries.
After that, Iran moved to block the Strait of Hormuz, a crucial corridor for global shipping.

The disruption to traffic through Hormuz has pushed energy costs higher, with knock-on effects being felt well beyond the region.
Sticking to his familiar style, Trump made more than one warning about what could happen if the strait remained closed.
In a Truth Social post on March 21, he wrote: “”If Iran doesn’t FULLY OPEN, WITHOUT THREAT, the Strait of Hormuz, within 48 HOURS from this exact point in time, the United States of America will hit and obliterate their various POWER PLANTS, STARTING WITH THE BIGGEST ONE FIRST!”
In the days afterward, Trump maintained that movement had been made, even as he continued to issue new threats toward Iran.
