Katy Perry had some fun at Justin Bieber’s Coachella set while also making her relationship with Justin Trudeau very public at the festival.
The ‘Firework’ singer was among the many celebrities who descended on the California event over the weekend, which featured major performances from Sabrina Carpenter, Justin Bieber, and Karol G.
Karol G also marked a milestone, becoming the first Latina artist to headline the festival. Ahead of her set, the Colombian star was reportedly cautioned that speaking about ICE and immigration could jeopardize her visa status.
Karol G took the headline slot on Sunday night, while Bieber headlined Saturday. Hailey Bieber was spotted in the crowd as he performed tracks including ‘DAISIES’, ‘With You’, and Baby’.
Former Canadian prime minister Justin Trudeau was also there — attending alongside Perry, who has been widely linked to him in recent weeks.
Perry posted a carousel of moments from the weekend on Instagram, including snaps of the pair soaking up the atmosphere. In one clip, she’s holding a red cup and wearing a shirt that read ‘PLS DO NOT GIVE ME A RIP OF YOUR VAPE NO MATTER WHAT I SAY’.
Another video showed her watching Bieber’s set as old YouTube clips appeared on the massive screens for the crowd.
“Thank god he has Premium. I don’t wanna see no ads.”
The comment landed with plenty of viewers, especially as the set leaned into Bieber’s early internet-era footage.
YouTube Premium is priced at $16.99 per month, with a family plan costing $26.99 — a fee the Biebers would almost certainly have no trouble covering.
Elsewhere in Perry’s post, she included affectionate photos with Trudeau, prompting fans to share their reactions in the comments.

Some fans also used the moment to campaign for Perry to headline the festival in the future. While she has performed at Coachella before, she hasn’t yet topped the bill.

Meanwhile, speculation about the 2027 lineup is already swirling online. On Reddit, users have thrown out names like Fred Again, Rihanna, Bruno Mars, Daft Punk, and Rosalia as potential headliners.
Outside of the on-stage moments, plenty of attendees were focused on what it cost to eat and drink on the grounds. Festivalgoers taking a break for soda or fried chicken were met with eye-watering prices last weekend.
“Prices looking like it’s a nice day to fast,” wrote one music lover. “I’ll just eat thoughts and prayers,” said another.
A menu shared via screenshots posted by Californian realtor James Suer on Instagram showed what people were paying for basics across the site.
