Taylor Swift’s Name Change Decision Revealed After Officially Marrying Travis Kelce

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are now officially married, but there is still no public confirmation that the singer will change her name professionally or legally.

Swift’s publicist confirmed the marriage to the Associated Press, saying the couple tied the knot on Friday, July 3, at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

Outside the venue, screens displayed the message ‘JUST&T MARRIED’ as fans gathered to celebrate the couple’s wedding night.

As for what name Swift will use going forward, the most likely answer remains the same as before: she is expected to continue using Taylor Swift as her public and professional name.

That is a common choice for major entertainers, and in Swift’s case the name Taylor Swift is also inseparable from her music career, business empire and global brand.

For now, there has been no official statement from Swift or Kelce about whether she will adopt Kelce’s surname in private life, hyphenate her name, or keep Swift across all settings.

Before the wedding, speculation had swirled that the pair might keep things traditional behind the scenes while leaving Swift’s stage name untouched, but none of those reports were confirmed publicly.

The celebration drew a star-studded guest list, including Hugh Grant, Ethan Hawke, Jason Sudeikis, Benson Boone, Abby Wambach, Chris Jones and Cooper Kupp.

Rather than follow a standard bridal-party setup, the couple chose a more personal arrangement involving close family members.

Austin Swift served as his sister’s ‘Man of Honor’, while Jason Kelce, Travis’s brother and podcast partner, was named best man.

Adam Sandler, a long-time friend who appeared alongside Kelce in “Happy Gilmore 2,” officiated the ceremony.

According to reports from the wedding weekend, the couple also hosted a smaller get-together on Thursday night, ahead of the larger Saturday-style celebration that was expected to include around 1,000 guests.

Phones were reportedly prohibited at both gatherings, with the rule applying not only to guests but also to vendors and security staff.

Representative Tree Paine said Jonathan Anderson of Dior created custom Haute Couture looks for both newlyweds, Christian Louboutin supplied bespoke shoes, and Swift finished her outfit with Cartier jewellery.

The relationship dates back to 2023, when Kelce unsuccessfully tried to give Swift a friendship bracelet during her Eras Tour stop in Kansas City.

Not long afterward, the two made their relationship public, and Kelce proposed in August 2025.

Swift later announced the engagement on Instagram, joking that her “English teacher” and “gym teacher” were getting married.
