Naomi Watts Stars With Model Daughter Kai Schreiber in New Fashion Campaign

Naomi Watts, 57, and her teenage daughter Kai Schreiber, 17, have landed their first joint fashion campaign together.

The mother-daughter pair front Jonathan Simkhai’s fall 2026 collection, photographed by Mikael Jansson with styling by Camilla Nickerson. They appear alongside fellow models Sage Elesser, Malcolm McRae, Awar Odhiang and Betsy Gaghan in a series of in-studio images built around an understated black-and-white palette with textured, statement-making materials.

Watts and Schreiber had previously posed together for The Face magazine in March, but the Simkhai marks their debut as co-stars of a fashion campaign. The “King Kong” actress traced the collaboration back to her existing relationship with the designer. “I had worked with Jonathan previously and have a wonderful relationship with him,” Watts shared with Elle, “and when he asked us to both do this campaign, it just felt right.”

The campaign arrives just over a year after Schreiber launched her modeling career. She made her runway debut in March 2025 at the Valentino show during Paris Fashion Week, and in the 18 months since has added Jean Paul Gaultier, Jason Wu, Fendi and Celine to her runway credits. She also starred in her own solo Valentino ad campaign.

Schreiber has been vocal about her ambitions from the start. “I want to be a supermodel. Period,” she told Interview Magazine last summer. “I’ve been practicing my walks in the kitchen for years; my mom can show you all the videos I forced her to film.”

Watts shares Kai and son Sasha, 19, with ex-partner Liev Schreiber. The actress told Elle that fashion has become a shared language between her and her daughter. “If I have an event to go to, I always get her to weigh in on my look,” Watts said. “I think she has a natural understanding of fashion and what looks good on my body.”

The wardrobe influence flows in both directions. Watts added that Schreiber has taken an interest in her early-2000s closet and has “definitely found her way into claiming a few of my favorite old possessions.”
