Zara Larsson’s latest Instagram carousel has sparked a wave of fan reactions after eagle-eyed followers spotted what appeared to be marijuana and two rolled joints sitting on a table in one of her photos.
The 28-year-old Swedish pop star posted the images to Instagram on Saturday after wrapping her final European show of the summer in Munich on Sunday, August 30. The sixth photo in the series featured Larsson striking an impressive pose with her body held completely straight in the air, but it was the items visible in the bottom corner of the frame that quickly became the main focus of attention online.

“Look at the table at the bottom of the pic,” one fan exclaimed on X, adding a crying emoji to their post.
The reaction across social media was largely supportive rather than critical. “Queen gotta relax every once in a while,” one user wrote. Another added: “Queen deserves a little break from being iconic.”
Some fans pushed back against any potential controversy with pointed sarcasm. “Wow marijuana, crazy,” one person wrote. Another offered a specific framing: “It is actually called California sober. Chill.”
Larsson herself appeared unfazed by the scrutiny, centering her own caption on the physical feat she was demonstrating rather than addressing the items on the table. “I think this is pretty cool. Look how straight my body is! Now that’s talent,” she wrote on Instagram.
There is no suggestion that Larsson was using any substances that appeared in the photograph. It has not been confirmed that the items are drugs, or if they are, that they belong to her.
The post comes during a brief respite in an otherwise relentless touring schedule. Larsson’s Midnight Sun Tour kicked off in Munich in October last year and has kept her among the busiest performers in the industry. She played 17 European cities through the end of 2025, then launched into a North American leg beginning in Portland in February that included 31 shows across the United States, Canada and Mexico. After returning to Europe in May with additional dates, she has now paused for a couple of weeks before the final stretch of her global run.
The “Lush Life” singer will resume performing with a gig in Brazil on September 13. From there she will return to America before heading to Asia for shows in South Korea, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, the Philippines and Thailand, with her tour concluding in Abu Dhabi on December 3.
