Kendall Jenner is setting the record straight on years of speculation about her relationship with Cara Delevingne.
The model, 30, appears alongside Delevingne, 34, in the newly released trailer for “The Kardashians” Season 8, where she directly addresses the persistent rumor that the two were once a couple. The trailer dropped Thursday ahead of the Hulu show’s Oct. 8 premiere.
“There’s definitely a rumor that Cara and I dated — which is not true,” Jenner says in the clip, according to the footage.
The longtime friends are then shown lounging together with glasses of red wine, and Jenner takes the moment a step further with a provocative joke. “By the way I have nothing against having sex with Cara,” she tells the camera.
“Never say never, right?” Jenner adds, turning to Delevingne, who laughs in response.

The exchange marks the latest time Jenner has addressed public curiosity about her sexuality. She previously shut down speculation that she is secretly lesbian during a January appearance on Owen Thiele’s “In Your Dreams” podcast.

“I understand that coming out is not an easy thing for anybody, if not most people,” she said on the podcast. “And I’m not saying that’s an easy thing, but knowing, and I can speak for myself here, and knowing myself, I think at this point in my life I’d be out if I was.”

Jenner and Delevingne’s friendship stretches back roughly a decade to around 2014, when they bonded through their overlapping modeling careers. The pair coined the nickname “CaKe” as a mashup of their names.
“We basically made it up and it’s our thing now,” Jenner told Vogue in 2016.
In a 2024 Vogue interview, Jenner credited Delevingne with paving the way for her own crossover success from reality television into high fashion. “When I came into it, you didn’t really see quote-unquote famous girls,” she explained. “Cara Delevingne was probably the biggest one who was known outside of modeling. She opened that door for me, and from there it blew up into a whole new thing.”

Caitlyn Jenner also appears in the Season 8 trailer, pressing her daughter about her romantic status. “Since I never get to know, how’s the love life?” she asks.

The question arrives as Kendall Jenner is reportedly serious about her current boyfriend, actor Jacob Elordi, 29. A source said last month that “Kendall really does see Jacob as husband material.”
“She’s dated great guys and had serious relationships before, but this is the first time she’s thought, ‘I could actually marry this person,'” the insider shared. The source added that the romance “feels very grown-up and solid.”

Delevingne, meanwhile, came out as a “proud” lesbian in a May interview. She has been in a relationship with British singer Minke since 2022, following previous relationships with musician St. Vincent and actress Ashley Benson.

Hulu’s promotional description for the new season promises a focus on “love, reinvention, and what comes next” across the family, teasing “unexpected sparks and new relationships” alongside “healing old wounds and embracing independence.”

“As the family steps into this new era, they’ll discover that love, whether it’s self-love, family, or something new, might be the most powerful journey of all,” the logline reads.
The trailer’s candid moment between Jenner and Delevingne lands in a broader pop-culture landscape where both women have been subject to intense public scrutiny about their personal lives. Jenner’s romantic relationships have long fueled tabloid coverage, while Delevingne’s openness about her sexuality has made her a visible figure in LGBTQ+ representation.

The upcoming season will mark the eighth installment of the family’s Hulu series, which launched in 2022 after their long-running E! Show “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” concluded.
“The Kardashians” Season 8 premieres Oct. 8 on Hulu.
