Camille Grammer has publicly accused ex-husband Kelsey Grammer of forgetting their daughter Mason’s 25th birthday.
The “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” alum, 58, posted a throwback photo Monday on Instagram showing the “Frasier” actor holding Mason as a baby, with a clown emoji placed over his face. Mason’s birthday was Oct. 24, and Camille claimed three days passed without any contact from her former spouse.
“A daughter should never have to wonder whether her father remembers her birthday. Three days later, and still not a call or a text. 💔,” she wrote in the caption.
Camille expanded her criticism beyond the missed birthday, framing it as part of a larger pattern of paternal absence.
“You can be a beloved actor to the world, but being a father is a role that requires showing up when the cameras are off,” she continued in her post. “Fame, accolades, and public admiration mean very little if you neglect the people who should matter most.”
She emphasized the significance of the milestone, adding, “25 is a milestone birthday. Sometimes the silence is deafening, and the disappointment speaks volumes.”
The post included additional childhood photos of Mason, including one showing her smiling on the beach. Camille also directed criticism at Kelsey’s current wife, Kayte Walsh, 47, in the comments section of her own post.
“A stepmother should want to encourage a healthy, loving relationship between a father and his daughter. Sadly, from my perspective, that hasn’t been Mason’s experience. Instead, she has felt increasingly excluded from her father’s life and home,” Camille wrote.
She added, “No matter the adult relationships involved, a daughter deserves to feel welcomed, respected, and loved—not pushed to the sidelines. A 25th birthday should be a celebration of love, not another reminder of the distance between a father and his child.”
Mason herself has previously addressed the strained family dynamics. Back in 2018, she gave rare comments about her relationship with her famous father in an interview with Genlux magazine, describing her parents’ divorce as the “hardest time” of her life.
“I changed a lot after that,” she reflected. “I had to grow up faster because I had a lot more responsibilities. My dad wasn’t around, so I didn’t see him much, and my mom had such a hard time. I became my younger brother’s mom.”
She added, “My parents still don’t talk. At all. Ever.”
Camille and Kelsey, 71, were married from 1997 to 2011 and share two children: Mason and son Jude, 22. The actor has eight children total, including daughter Spencer, 43, with first wife Doreen Alderman, and daughter Greer, 34, with ex Barrie Buckner. Following his divorce from Camille, he married Walsh, with whom he has four children: daughter Faith, 14, and sons Gabriel, 12, Auden, 9, and Christopher, 1.
Kelsey previously admitted on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” in 2012 that he began seeing Walsh, a British flight attendant, while still married to Camille, saying he met her during a flight to the UK.
The ex-spouses have maintained no direct communication for years. In May, Camille stated on the “Humble Brad” podcast that she hadn’t spoken to Kelsey in 14 years, explaining that they practice “parallel parenting” rather than co-parenting their two children. She also revealed a text she said Kelsey sent after their split: “He sent me a text saying, ‘I feel no remorse for what I am doing,'” she recalled.
