Cardi B has revealed her baby boy’s name and shared the first photos of her son with ex Stefon Diggs.
The rapper, 34, announced on Instagram Wednesday that the child, who turned one that day, is named Grey. She posted a carousel of images showing the toddler in a baseball cap, wearing a doctor Halloween costume, and sitting on a bed.
“Happy 1st birthday to Grey M.D!!” she wrote in the caption. “It’s only been 1 year since meeting you but it feels like I’ve had you at my side forever. I carried you through one of the most uncertain high pressured times of my life but having you inside of me through it all gave me a extra strength.”
She continued in the emotional post, “I was growing you inside of me and at the same time you were giving me life! You gave a new meaning to what a Grey day feels like. You light up my life and every room with your smile your laugh and your precious spirit.”
Cardi first told followers the baby had arrived in November 2025, though she kept his name and face private at the time. “I brought … a new baby into the world,” she wrote then. “One more reason to be the best version of me.”
She added in that earlier post that the newborn was “one more reason to love me more than anything else or anyone else so I can continue giving my babies the love and life they deserve.” While she did not state the infant’s sex in the main upload, she confirmed it on her Instagram Story, writing, “I just had a boy.”
Diggs, 32, had already shared the news days before Cardi’s November announcement in a conversation with People. The NFL wide receiver expressed his enthusiasm about having a son. “That’s enough for me,” he told the outlet. “I can’t wait to make him do push-ups and sit-ups and run around.”
The athlete and the rapper were first linked romantically in February 2025. They reportedly split after that, though they reunited earlier this year and made headlines for a coffee shop clash. The status of their relationship remains unclear.
Grey marks Cardi’s fourth child. She shares daughter Kulture, 7, and son Wave, 4, with her estranged husband Offset. She gave birth to their third child together, daughter Blossom, now 1, two months after filing for divorce in July 2024 while pregnant with the child.
Cardi has been publicly critical of Offset’s parenting. In May 2025, she claimed via X that he had only met Blossom “only five times.” She also alleged she had been “left with the kids’ bills … for a year straight.” The couple, who married in September 2017, have not finalized their divorce.
Diggs, meanwhile, has a growing family of his own. He became a father in 2016 when he welcomed daughter Nova. He was later confirmed as the father of daughter Charliee after the newborn’s mother, Aileen Lopera, filed a paternity suit. He also allegedly welcomed a son with K’yanna Barber in 2025, as well as a daughter with Cayy Benji, also born sometime in 2025.
The “Bodak Yellow” artist has built much of her public persona around her identity as a mother, frequently sharing milestones and challenges with her massive following. The reveal of Grey’s name and photos on his first birthday represents a notable shift from her earlier approach, when she kept even basic details about the child under wraps.
Neither Cardi nor Diggs has indicated whether they plan to share additional updates about Grey beyond Wednesday’s posts.
