Aryna Sabalenka Pairs Sheer Dress With Over 127 Carats of Jewelry at US Open

Aryna Sabalenka brought her signature sparkle to the US Open in a sheer mesh tennis dress layered with more than 127 carats of colored gemstones.

The Belarusian pro, 26, took the court on Tuesday in a see-through Nike dress with contrasting white seams, worn over a bright orange sports bra and matching shorts from the athletic brand. The outfit marked her latest fashion statement during a doubles match alongside Novak Djokovic at the New York tournament.

But it was Sabalenka’s bling that commanded attention. New York City-based jeweler Material Good has outfitted her for all of her major games recently, including a special capsule collection collaboration. For this week’s match, she selected a matching necklace, bracelet and drop earrings from the brand’s “Silhouette Suite” line.

The suite featured sapphires, tourmaline, garnet, zircon, spinel, chrysoberyl and tanzanite in various shapes. “Design elements were drawn from New York’s colorful spirit and unmistakable energy — the grit and edge that define the city — utilizing gemstones with origins from all over the world, directly mirroring NYC’s multicultural melting pot heritage,” the brand wrote online.

Sabalenka’s partnership with Material Good has produced similarly spectacular moments at previous Grand Slams. In May, she appeared at the French Open wearing more than 125 carats of garnets from the jeweler, the deep red stones nodding to Roland-Garros’ famous clay courts. The following month at Wimbledon, she displayed an emerald suite inspired by the tournament’s grass courts and her own birthstone.

The tennis star’s relationship with the brand deepened in January when she was named its first-ever ambassador. “Jewelry is a way that I express myself, both on and off the court, and this partnership felt like a natural next step in my style evolution,” Sabalenka shared in a press release announcing the role.

She continued, “Working with Material Good allows me to celebrate my creativity in a new way, completing my look through jewelry that feels intentional and modern.”

The sheer dress trend has gained traction across red carpets and runways, with Sabalenka now transplanting the look to professional tennis. Her Tuesday appearance continued a pattern of merging athletic competition with high-fashion statements, a combination that has distinguished her recent tournament runs.

Material Good’s designs for Sabalenka have drawn direct inspiration from each tournament’s setting, creating location-specific suites that tie her on-court aesthetic to the host city or venue. The US Open’s “Silhouette Suite” emphasized New York’s character through its global gemstone sourcing and bold color palette.

Sabalenka remains active in singles competition at the US Open, where she has previously reached the semifinals.
