Druski had the BET Awards crowd howling on June 28 after jokingly confronting Ray J over his earlier health claims, accusing him of “lying” about only having months left to live.
The comedian, whose real name is Drew Desbordes, hosted the 2026 BET Awards at Los Angeles’ Peacock Theater and, at 31, became the youngest person ever to lead the ceremony.
Known for his unpredictable humor, Druski brought that same energy to the stage, mixing celebrity jabs with comedy sketches throughout the night, including a mock sermon-style opening that set the tone for the show.
He had already sparked plenty of attention this year following a viral sketch about Erika Kirk after the killing of her husband, Charlie Kirk.
At the awards show, though, Ray J ended up being one of his biggest targets.

Earlier this year, Ray J publicly described a serious health scare after being hospitalized for pneumonia and chest pain, saying his heart was only functioning at 25 percent and suggesting doctors had warned him he might not make it to 2027.
“2027 is definitely a wrap for me”.
He also opened up about his condition at the time, saying:
“My heart’s only beating 25 percent, but as long as I stay focused and stay on the right path, everything will be alright.
“My health is not OK, so I thank everybody for supporting and praying for me through everything I’ve been in the hospital.”

The singer, who said he was dealing with a severe case of pneumonia, also reflected on his past lifestyle and substance use.
“I thought I was big so I could handle all the alcohol, I could handle all the Adderall, I could handle all the drugs – but I couldn’t. It curved my time here.”
With Ray J in attendance at the BET Awards about five months later, Druski used the moment to call him out from the stage.
“Why’d you lie to us, man? I thought you was gon’ be dead… Ray J, you know that’s wrong, man. You lied to all of us!”

Viewers online quickly reacted to the exchange, with many saying Druski voiced exactly what they had been thinking.
“Druski said what we ALL was thinking.”
“He really woke up and chose chaos on the BET Awards stage.”
“Druski was just doing what we were all thinking but too polite to say,” a third said.
