Hilary Duff Reveals Her Spicy Payback on Boy Who Did Her Friend Real Dirty

Hilary Duff has revealed the “spiciest” act of revenge she ever carried out on behalf of a wronged friend.

Duff, 39, made the confession during an appearance on Billboard’s “Take Me Out” video series on Tuesday, November 3, where she was asked to share her most memorable night out with her inner circle. The singer and actress described the incident as taking place during her “late teen-hood,” long before she became a mother of four.

“I’m like, spicy. My spiciest night is kind of evil and a long time ago, pre-children,” Duff admitted. She explained that a boy had been “doing my friend real dirty,” which prompted her and her friends to take action during a night of drinking.

“This guy was doing my friend real dirty and we were hitting the bottle,” she laughed. “We were spicy, and we went and bought the cheapest, grossest can of wieners and tuna, and we just had a little field day on his front lawn.”

Duff noted that she is “really not a big goer-outer” these days, but she fondly recalled her younger years when she enjoyed getting “real toasty with my friends.”

The confession comes as Duff maintains a busy professional schedule. Last month, she released “CATastrophe,” a single written for the upcoming The Cat in the Hat film soundtrack ahead of its worldwide cinema release on Friday, November 6.

She has also extended her Lucky Me Tour deep into 2027, adding 32 new dates across Europe, Latin America, and the United States in support of her latest studio album, Luck… Or Something. A standout stop on the European leg includes a highly anticipated night in Milan, which excited her longtime fans.

Duff teased the Italian dates from Rome’s historic Trevi Fountain on Instagram, playfully nodding to her iconic 2003 film The Lizzie McGuire Movie. She cheekily captioned the video: “Any guesses what I wished for.”

Reflecting on returning to live performances after her intimate Small Rooms, Big Nerves warm-up shows earlier this year, Duff spoke about the emotional connection she shares with fans during concerts.

“What’s been so fun about the live shows is realizing how much the old songs mean to people,” she told the magazine. “A lot of those songs just live rent-free in my head, so it’ll be nice for the other music to catch up and join the mix.”

The singer also recently joined Amy Poehler on Good Hang to discuss why you should never go halfway when humiliating yourself in public.

Duff’s Lucky Me Tour continues with newly added dates scheduled for 2027.
