Katseye has postponed a second concert as group member Megan Skiendiel battles an undisclosed illness that has now sidelined three shows in four days.
The pop group’s Thursday night performance at Chicago’s United Center was called off just hours after a similar last-minute cancellation in Detroit, according to a post shared via X by the venue. The announcement referenced Skiendiel’s condition directly and warned fans not to approach the building, as doors would remain closed.
“Please hold onto your tickets,” the post continued, adding that refunds would be available for anyone unable to attend the rescheduled date. The upload concluded, “Thank you for your patience and understanding.”

That same day, the Target Center in Minnesota announced that Saturday’s Minneapolis show would also be cancelled, again citing Skiendiel’s illness and promising a new date.
The cascading postponements follow a chaotic Tuesday evening at Detroit’s Little Caesars Arena, where fans were already seated when screens flashed a 7:30 p.m. Message that the 8 p.m. Show would not go on. The group later confirmed that Skiendiel was “unwell and unable to perform.”
Megan Schikora, a mother who brought her 10-year-old daughter to the Detroit venue, described the scene to the Detroit News. “It was so awful and it was so sad,” she said. Schikora also questioned the timing of the announcement, noting that it was “insanely close to showtime.”
“If someone is sick,” she added, “that should have been established well before 7:30.”

Jessica Lenhardt, a mother from Skokie, Illinois, told FOX 2 that she had spent upwards of $5,000 on travel, clothing, and VIP tickets for her 8- and 10-year-old daughters. “So I do think that if things were going wrong since the morning or even a day before, we should’ve been notified maybe 24 hours at least in advance,” she said. “They could’ve saved a lot of people coming from out of town the time and effort to get there.”

The group, which also includes Daniela Avanzini, Lara Raj, Yoonchae Jeung, Manon Bannerman, and Sophia Laforteza, has not specified the nature of Skiendiel’s illness or provided a timeline for her recovery.

Some fans who processed Thursday’s news online shifted focus toward concern for the ailing performer. “And this could’ve been said earlier but what the hell sure,” one person wrote via X. “Im hoping megan is doing okay and sending so much love to the girls.”
Another fan remarked on the same platform, “Get well soon Megan.”
The string of cancellations marks a turbulent stretch for the rising act, who had been scheduled to perform across the Midwest this week. No new dates have been announced for any of the three affected cities.

Tuesday’s Detroit cancellation drew particular frustration from attendees who had already gathered inside Little Caesars Arena when the postponement was announced roughly 30 minutes before showtime. The venue’s screens displayed a message stating that the concert would be rescheduled due to illness, though many families with young children were left scrambling to adjust travel plans.
Schikora called the cancellation “suspect” in her remarks to the Detroit News, reflecting broader fan sentiment about the lack of advance warning.

Katseye has not yet announced when rescheduled performances in Detroit, Chicago, or Minneapolis will take place.
