Kim Zolciak was spotted at a Palm Beach restaurant Wednesday evening alongside son Kash and boyfriend Kyle Mowitz, marking her first public outing since news broke of her teenage son KJ’s arrest on sexual assault charges.
The “Real Housewives of Atlanta” alum, 48, wore a form-fitting black dress with strappy stiletto heels for the Florida dinner, styling her blond hair down and wavy. Kash, 14, and Mowitz also wore black as the trio left the eatery together.
At one point outside the establishment, Zolciak appeared to adjust Kash’s collar while chatting with him. She was also seen having what appeared to be a serious conversation on her cell phone during the outing.
The dinner came just days after reports said that KJ Biermann, whom Zolciak shares with ex-husband Kroy Biermann, was arrested last Monday on charges of alleged aggravated sexual battery and aggravated sodomy. The 15-year-old is being held without bond at Atlanta’s Metro Regional Youth Detention Center, with a hearing scheduled for Sept. 1.
The Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice outlined what KJ’s daily life looks like at the facility. “Youth at our detention centers follow a daily schedule that provides structure, accountability, education and chances for positive growth,” communications director Glenn Allen said in a statement on Wednesday. “While schedules may vary by facility, programming needs, and security, each day is arranged to maintain a safe, structured environment that supports education and rehabilitation.”
According to Fulton County Georgia Juvenile court documents obtained Friday, a female classmate claimed KJ assaulted her at a fitness center in Alpharetta, Georgia, on April 23. The 15-year-old alleged victim, who described herself as the “best friend” of “KJ’s girlfriend,” told officials that KJ allegedly forced himself on her despite her telling him “no,” and attempted “multiple times to have sexual intercourse with her by trying to pull down her pants.”
Additionally, she accused the teen of digitally penetrating her vagina and forcing oral sex during the alleged encounter. The documents state that when she “finally managed to get away from him,” the “Don’t be Tardy” personality “pulled up his pants and left.”
The alleged victim claimed she later ran into KJ’s girlfriend at school, then headed to a coffee shop where she experienced a panic attack and contacted family members. A police report noted that an April 24 examination at North Fulton Hospital failed to turn up evidence of male DNA in her vagina or mouth.
Cops made contact with Kroy, 40, in May, with the NFL alum telling them he’d speak to Zolciak about whether they’d allow an interview with their son.
Zolciak shared a statement through a rep with the outlet on Friday pushing back against the allegations. “He categorically denies ever being involved with this woman or engaging in the conduct she has alleged,” the statement read, claiming KJ cleared a voluntary polygraph.
“Additionally, an examination was conducted, and no DNA belonging to my son was found,” the statement continued. “We are also aware that this individual has made similar allegations involving two other people, which raises serious concerns that deserve to be carefully examined.”
The reality star insisted “false accusations” can have “devastating consequences” for the accused and to “genuine survivors of sexual assault and abuse.”
“Every legitimate allegation deserves to be taken seriously and investigated based on the facts and evidence,” she stated. “At the same time, no one should be publicly condemned based solely on an accusation.”
The TV personality’s statement concluded, “We remain confident that the facts and evidence will establish the truth, and we ask that people allow the proper process to take its course rather than spreading unproven allegations.”
Zolciak and Kroy, who also share 12-year-old twins Kaia and Kane, as well as Zolciak’s daughters Brielle, 29, and Ariana, 24, from a previous relationship, have been locked in a volatile divorce since 2023. KJ is expected to return to Juvenile Court Detention following his upcoming hearing.
KJ’s Sept. 1 hearing will take place in Atlanta.
