Kylie Jenner, 29, has finally let fans inside her long-gestating Hidden Hills project.
The cosmetics billionaire shared a YouTube vlog Sunday taking subscribers through the unfinished estate, six years after she paid $15 million for the five-acre plot in April 2020. That same month, she also dropped $36.5 million on a Holmby Hills compound, part of a real estate spree that now spans multiple California properties including a Palm Springs retreat.
“I’m going to go to my construction site,” Jenner told viewers at the start of the weekend upload. “I have to do some approvals and you’re coming with me. Let’s go.”
The tour opened with her landscaping vision: lavender bushes, “old, ancient” olive trees, and a planned rose garden because she “just want[s] to be a princess.” She then guided the camera down what she called her “unreal” reclaimed cobblestone driveway toward the structure she described as her “beautiful dream Italian home.”
Inside, Jenner showcased “reclaimed gorgeous wood” flooring and deliberated over plaster colors “for the main areas” of the residence. She filmed an “old fireplace… In pieces” destined for the entryway, alongside salvaged brick she plans to incorporate.
The “Kardashians” star moved through kitchen cabinetry awaiting its pre-staining treatment, then revealed additional spaces in progress: another fireplace, a gym basement, a spa area, and guest bathrooms featuring “stunning stone” and “a vintage tile… Moment.”
Outdoor amenities included a gravel “sports court,” a fountain, and a pizza oven she envisions firing up for future dinner parties and birthdays.
Jenner initially hesitated to document the build at all. She explained to fans that she changed her mind because the project was “kind of all over the Internet anyway.” She has previously teased glimpses on Instagram, including a “yummy laundry room” and an expansive walk-in closet.
The Hidden Hills undertaking arrives as Jenner has publicly reconsidered her earlier approach to luxury living. In an August interview with Who What Wear, she reflected on the $13.5 million Beverly Hills mansion she bought in 2018, when she was 20 years old.
“When I was younger, I got really excited, and I got the craziest house I could in Beverly Hills, and I just kind of went for it,” she said. “I’ve realized that my life got too big, and I said, ‘Yeah, never mind.'”
She added, “I think I lost control of my life a little bit for a while there.”
That period of excess appears to have shaped her more deliberate pace with the Hidden Hills property, where she has spent half a decade refining details rather than rushing to completion.
“That is it for all the approvals today and all the newness,” Jenner said at the vlog’s conclusion. “I’m so excited. I’ve been working on this for so long, and I’m just ready for it to be done. And to move in.”
The property sits within the same gated enclave where several members of the extended Kardashian-Jenner family have maintained residences, though Jenner’s empty lot-to-mansion transformation stands out for its prolonged timeline among relatives who more typically purchase move-in ready estates.
Her current real estate portfolio still includes the 2020 Holmby Hills acquisition and the Palm Springs getaway, even as the Beverly Hills departure signaled a shift in priorities.
Jenner’s construction documentation follows a broader family pattern of monetizing personal milestones through content, though the six-year gap between purchase and progress marks an unusually patient investment for a family known for rapid turnaround on luxury transactions.
The Hidden Hills home has no announced completion date.
