Lewis Hamilton has opened up in unusually personal fashion about his connection with Kim Kardashian, after months of speculation surrounding the pair’s growing relationship.
The Formula 1 champion, 41, and Kardashian, 45, have known each other for years, but romance rumours intensified in early 2026 after they were seen together at events including the Super Bowl, a trip to Paris, and several high-profile public outings. By June, Kardashian was also trackside at the Monaco Grand Prix supporting Hamilton, further fuelling talk that the pair were no longer just friends.
Hamilton had largely avoided addressing the rumours directly, but during a fan event at Silverstone ahead of the British Grand Prix, he finally responded in front of a live crowd.
“Lewis, on the track and off the track, you are a much happier man this year, and for everyone here, that is great to see,” broadcaster David Croft began as he chatted to the seven time champion at a fan event in Silverstone ahead of the British Grand Prix.
Another driver then joined in with a more direct question.
“Is that because it’s a fast car or a new girlfriend?”
“Yeah, that’s a good one,” responded Hamilton.
Croft then referenced a much-discussed moment from Monaco.
“You know why he’s asking? He just needs to know if Kimi needs two towels or not,”
The remark referred to Kardashian accidentally using a towel intended for Kimi Antonelli earlier this season.
Hamilton initially pointed to his move to Ferrari when explaining his improved mood.
“Once you spend a year with this team, Ferrari is still the most iconic team of all time, and they’ve had a difficult period of time.”
He continued by praising the environment around him at the team.
“It’s such an amazing team and they’ve been so welcoming. The first year was obviously very tough but to finally see the hard work we’re all putting in, it’s finally get us back to where we want to be.”
Hamilton then added a playful line that brought a big reaction from the audience.
“And of course, of course, it’s Kim.”
The crowd responded loudly before Croft replied:
“It’s great to see. It really is.”
The on-stage moment followed a run of increasingly public appearances from the pair earlier in 2026. They were first linked after being seen together around Super Bowl weekend, then later photographed boarding a private flight to Paris and spending time together in Tokyo. Hamilton has since also reacted warmly to Kardashian’s social media posts, adding more fuel to the romance chatter.
At Monaco, Kardashian’s appearance in the paddock made headlines in her own right, with the reality star and entrepreneur watching Hamilton claim second place in the race. Hamilton later spoke warmly about her support over the weekend, saying it was special to have the people close to him around him during a big event.
“It’s amazing to have her come this weekend and have the support,” Hamilton said of the SKIMS founder at the time.
“But, you know, with my friends, incredible turnout, just overall, the people,” continued Hamilton. “It’s amazing to have good people around you and good people supporting you and she does that for me every day.”
While neither Hamilton nor Kardashian initially confirmed the relationship in detail, their increasingly public appearances have made the pairing one of the most talked-about celebrity stories of 2026.
