A Nevada couple was discovered dead in a hotel room in Mexico while on vacation.
Nick and Lindsay Jordan, residents of Sparks, a suburb of Reno, had been visiting the resort town of Cabo San Lucas in Mexico.
They were celebrating Lindsay’s 46th birthday when tragedy struck.
One morning, the couple failed to join the group they were vacationing with.
Concerned friends went to the hotel to find out what had happened.
Upon arrival, they found police and hotel staff guarding the hotel room, who turned them away.
As reported by the Reno Gazette Journal, the couple was found dead in their room on July 14, 2024.
Nick and Lindsay are survived by their three children: Sammy (12), Haley Jordan (19), and Deven Simms (21).
Since the incident, Deven has been seeking the truth about what happened.
A translated report suggested that the deaths were drug-related and are not being treated as suspicious by local police.
This makes it impossible to obtain another autopsy in the US.
Deven noticed discrepancies in the numbers on the documents.
He told the Reno Gazette Journal, “But everything I’ve seen, the amounts of what was found and tests are different in every document.”
Deven also pointed out that the drug-related cause of death seemed unusual, as his father didn’t drink.
He added, “They were there with work friends, too. They weren’t going to go and do that.”
Lindsay had posted photos on Facebook of the couple enjoying their trip together.
Deven said, “They were just happy and happy to be on this trip.”
Tragically, it fell to Deven and Haley to inform their 12-year-old sister that their parents had died.
Deven said, “We just said it as bluntly as we could. I didn’t want her to have questions or not know right away they were no longer with us.”
When they told her, Sammy sat in the passenger seat of her mom’s car.
“It’s where, at that moment, she felt closest to my mom because she drove Sammy everywhere,” said Deven.
Nick and Lindsay were often seen cheering on Sammy at wrestling matches, wearing coordinated outfits.
Nevada Elite Wrestling paid tribute to the Jordans, writing, “Nevada Elite has suffered a tremendous loss to our wrestling family. Nick and Lindsay Jordan’s spunk always brought such a light into any room they entered.
“They were the most genuine people and if you got a chance to be around them, you’d know how special they were. The Jordans supported EVERYTHING for our club, always donating their time, talents, and treasure.”
