Nikki Glaser praised for handling awkward situation after accidentally flashing Kelly Ripa while on-air

Nikki Glaser experienced an unplanned outfit slip during a live TV appearance, and she handled it with humor rather than embarrassment.

The 41-year-old comedian stopped by Live with Kelly and Mark on April 22, where a brief moment in her minidress led to her underwear being visible to hosts Kelly Ripa, 55, and Mark Consuelos, 55.

Not long after Glaser sat down, Ripa gave her a discreet heads-up on air.

“Oh wait, you can see your underpants,” Ripa said as Glaser, who was wearing a minidress, sat down.

Glaser stayed unfazed and immediately turned it into a punchline.

“It’s just for you,” she joked. “Sorry guys.”

Ripa leaned into the moment, prompting Glaser to keep the banter going.

Ripa teased, “We don’t mind at all,” and Glaser said, “I’ll send you a picture later.”

Online, many viewers applauded Ripa for the quick, considerate warning, while others couldn’t resist adding their own commentary.

“Kelly’s watching out for other women… always,” commented one viewer on social media.

“At least she was wearing underpants,” another Instagram viewer quipped.

A few fans also focused on Glaser’s look itself, praising the retro vibe of her dress. “So sixties, adorbs,” gushed a third commenter.

Glaser has built her career on unapologetically candid, self-deprecating comedy—often pushing boundaries—whether she’s roasting celebrities or fronting reality dating series.

And she’s no stranger to joking about fashion mishaps. At the 2025 Vanity Fair Oscar Party, she previously admitted her outfit needed last-minute adjustments.

“I got fitted for it a month ago and I’ve been eating too much Skinny Pop,” she told Entertainment Tonight about why she had to make alterations.

“They had to emergency bring in a sewing machine and take out part of the train and make this wider.”

More recently, Glaser made awards-show history in 2025 by becoming the first woman to host the Golden Globe Awards solo.

She returned to the Globes again this year and drew attention for a sharp joke referencing disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein.

She joked: “I cannot believe the amount of star power we have in this room tonight. It’s insane. There’s so many A-listers.

“And by A-listers, I do mean people who are on a list that has been heavily redacted.

“And the Golden Globe for Best Editing goes to the Justice Department.”

Glaser also sparked debate with a separate punchline aimed at disgraced music mogul Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs during the 2025 ceremony.

Glaser said: “Challengers, girl? Oh my God! That movie was more sexually charged than Diddy’s credit card, I mean, seriously. I’m sorry, I’m upset too. The afterparty is not going to be as good this year, but we have to move on”
