Pete Davidson was recently seen pushing away a fan who tried to get too close to him while he was out in New York.
Being famous undoubtedly has its advantages, such as wealth and success. However, it also means being recognized almost everywhere you go.
Celebrities often can’t even make a quick trip to a store without being photographed, and even if they do manage to avoid the paparazzi, there’s usually at least one enthusiastic fan asking for a picture.
It can be exhausting, and Davidson appeared to have reached his limit when he attended the New York Knicks playoff game against the Cleveland Cavaliers in April 2023.
The game was held at Madison Square Garden, where Davidson, a devoted Knicks fan, was likely thrilled to see the Knicks take a 3-1 series lead over the Cavaliers.
While at the stadium, Davidson was walking court-side when a fan abruptly encroached on his personal space.
Davidson was seen taking photos with fans, but this particularly zealous supporter got too close for comfort and was pushed away.
Despite the uncomfortable encounter, Davidson continued to smile for pictures.
After the video surfaced online and quickly went viral, one person commented: “It’s so funny when people smile for a picture and then frown right after.”
Another viewer noted: “Bro went from being ready to duel to cheesing for a picture to being back to angry in about 4ish seconds.”
Numerous other viewers supported Davidson, asserting that he was justified in his reaction when the fan invaded his personal space.
One person remarked on social media: “Looked like he was about to kiss him,” while another said: “In all the other clips I’ve seen that guy is there, trying to grab at him. He’d obviously been annoying him a while.”
A third added: “Pete is going out of his way to be nice and take photos with fans. He doesn’t have to. I would have reacted the exact same if some strange man approached me like that.”
