Disabled Veteran Left Humiliated After Coffee Shop Questions His Need For A Service Dog

Yancy Baer is a disabled war veteran, though you can’t really tell right away by just looking at him.

He’s a left leg amputee from the knee down. His service dog, Verbena, helps him with everyday tasks.

The San Antonio, Texas resident never had problems with bringing Verbena wherever he went, until on a recent trip to Houston. On his trip, two businesses, a coffee shop and a hotel, interrogated him about his need for a service dog.

Yancy decided to speak out about how badly he and Verbena were treated.

Whether someone has a disability you can see or not, these people and their service dogs should be respected and not doubted.
