This adorable Wooly Snowman is the perfect decoration for the holiday season. It looks so cute with all your Christmas decor and you can make it as big or as small as you would like! You can even make a couple of them and make your own little snowman village! Make one to represent each member of the family and decorate them to match their style, or just make one classic snowman to hang out by your tree! Whichever you choose you are going to love this craft!
Materials Needed:
- Two balloons
- White yarn
- Tape
- 4 oz White Glue
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 1/4 cup water
- Christmas ribbon
- black buttons
- 2 Sticks
- Orange cone for nose – we used an icing piping tip painted orange
Directions:
Inflate your two balloons so one is slightly smaller than the other. Tape the two ends together with scotch tape. Tape the yarn to the top of the balloon and start to wrap it around the balloons.
Trim the end and tape it down. In a bowl mix together the glue with the cornstarch and water. Paint the glue onto the balloon making sure to cover all the yarn. Let it dry completely.
Once it has hardened, pop the balloons inside the snowman and pull them out. Use a hot glue gun to slue on eyes and his buttons as well as his nose. Put the sticks into the snowman’s sides.
Add a Christmas ribbon and a top hat if you want and you are all set!
