A man is resolute in preserving his youth and has invested millions of dollars into reversing the aging process, notably using a machine that simulates an extraordinarily intense workout.
Bryan Johnson, who is 46 years old, has already spent an astounding $2 million to maintain a youthful appearance.
Johnson has openly discussed undergoing experimental medical programs with the ultimate goal of reversing his age.
Frequenting social media, Johnson showcased a machine he owns that enables him to perform a workout equivalent to ‘20,000 sit-ups’ in just 30 minutes.
Yes, you read that correctly, 20,000 sit-ups, an immense challenge for even the fittest individuals, achievable in less than an hour.
You can see him using his sit-up machine here:
His plan, dubbed Project Blueprint, has reportedly endowed him with the lung capacity and fitness of an 18-year-old, a remarkable feat by any standard.
Johnson collaborated with a team of 30 doctors to meticulously monitor every aspect of his body and fitness levels in his quest to reverse aging.
However, as expected, attempting to reverse biological age is not straightforward, and the effectiveness and sustainability of such endeavors remain uncertain.
Johnson’s regimen includes working out for at least an hour each day, with three high-intensity workouts per week.
A significant part of his routine involves the advanced machine showcased in the clip, which he claims delivers the equivalent of 20,000 sit-ups in just half an hour.
In the clip, Johnson explains: “What it feels like is, it’s pulling your entire stomach out. It’s like ripping it out.”
After the machine does its thing, he adds: “I thought I would be terribly sore after doing this, but actually I am not. Surprisingly.
“But I would say my mid-section has never felt stronger in my life and it does change how I feel athletically.”
In addition to his fitness regimen, Johnson adheres to a strict vegan diet, consuming 1,977 calories daily.
His sleep routine involves going to bed at the same time every day, following two hours of wearing special blue light glasses.
And, of course, tracking all these efforts is crucial.
According to Bloomberg, Johnson undergoes numerous medical procedures each month, which the outlet describes as ‘quite extreme and painful’.
In a Medium post last year, Johnson elaborated on his plans.
“With my world-class team of doctors, researchers and clinicians, if I am able to reverse my measured biological age by 1.01 years for every one year that passes, that is evidence that we have reached the first stage of aging escape velocity where life expectancy increases faster than passed time,” he wrote.
“As for the magic pill, it appears that for the foreseeable future, achieving and maintaining peak wellness is just going to be a lot of really hard work.”
