Reactions Pour in After Trump Phone Call Featured in Melania’s Film Trailer

A particular moment in the new trailer for Melania Trump’s documentary is gaining attention.

The documentary, titled Melania, chronicles the First Lady’s experiences leading up to President Trump’s January 2025 inauguration.

According to The Guardian, the film offers ‘exclusive footage capturing critical meetings, private conversations, and never-before-seen environments’.

The film’s synopsis explains that viewers will see Melania ‘as she orchestrates inauguration plans, navigates the complexities of the White House transition, and moves her family back to the Nation’s Capital’.

Reports indicate that Melania secured a $40 million licensing deal with Amazon for the film, which will premiere in theaters globally on January 30, 2026.

The trailer begins on Inauguration Day, featuring Melania in a dark fitted dress and wide-brimmed hat.

Addressing the camera, the 55-year-old says: “Here we go again.”

In another scene, the First Lady is seen listening to her husband Donald as he rehearses a speech.

“My proudest legacy will be that of a peacemaker,” he states. Melania then adds: “Peacemaker and unifier.”

However, a different moment in the trailer is sparking conversation online. During a phone call with Donald, the POTUS asks his wife: “Did you watch it?”

“I did not,” Melania responds nonchalantly, adding: “I will see it on the news.”

This exchange caught the attention of many online users. One Twitter user commented: “[The Trumps] are the meme of memes!”

Another joked, “I fully believe Donald Trump will run for a third term SOLELY as one last ditch effort to finally impress Melania.”

A third person remarked: “Hahahhaa so funny. I laughed for like an hour. For real.”

Another observer labeled the couple’s interaction as a ‘typical husband and wife dynamic’.

Fans expressed excitement for the documentary’s release, describing it as ‘amazing’.

“Ok this looks amazing,” one fan commented, while another tweeted: “Awe this actually looks really good. You’re the epitome of class, Mrs. First Lady.”

Another person simply stated, “Looks incredible.”

Melania’s documentary follows the release of her memoir, also titled Melania, from the previous year.

In the memoir, she addressed earlier claims regarding her son Barron, whom she shares with the president, being autistic.

Rosie O’Donnell had made the suggestion about her son (who was just 10 years old at the time) on social media in 2016.

“I was appalled by such cruelty,” she wrote, per BBC News. “It was clear to me that [O’Donnell] was not interested in raising awareness about autism. I felt that she was attacking my son because she didn’t like my husband.”
