Donald Trump Speaks Out on ‘Terrible’ Disappearance of Savannah Guthrie’s Mother, Nancy

Donald Trump has spoken out regarding the disappearance of TODAY show host Savannah Guthrie’s mother, Nancy, describing the situation as ‘terrible.’

The President addressed the matter during a press briefing on Tuesday, February 3, expressing his support for Guthrie’s family during this challenging time.

“I think it’s terrible,” Trump, 79, informed reporters. “I’m going to call her later on.”

He further stated: “It’s a terrible thing. I always get along well with Savannah. Very unusual situation, but we’re going to find out…”

Trump also promised to provide federal aid to Arizona law enforcement in hopes of safely locating Nancy.

84-year-old Nancy Guthrie was reported missing on February 1, with her last reported sighting at her home in the Catalina Foothills area around 9:30–9:45 p.m. on Saturday (January 31).

However, Pima County Sheriff Namos confirmed that the case is more severe than a typical missing persons case, with authorities suspecting Nancy may have been kidnapped after discovering blood at her home.

“At this point, investigators believe she was taken from the home against her will, possibly in the middle of the night,” the Sheriff conveyed to reporters on Tuesday.

He added: “We have an 84-year-old woman who went to bed Saturday night and come Sunday morning, she’s gone. We know, at least we believe, and I believe we know, she did not walk out of that home on her own.”

The sheriff highlighted that Nancy’s mobility was ‘limited,’ making it increasingly unlikely that she ‘wandered off’ on her own.

Sheriff Namos also called on the public to provide any information regarding Nancy’s location, emphasizing the urgency due to her health issues that make finding her critical.

“We don’t need another bad, tragic ending. We need some help,” Nanos said.

“This is an 84-year-old lady who suffers from some physical ailments, has some physical challenges, is in need of medication — medication that, if she doesn’t have in 24 hours, it could be fatal,”

The White House also appealed to the public to contact the police if they possessed any information, using Instagram to draw attention to Nancy’s disappearance.

“The search for Savannah Guthrie’s mother, Nancy Guthrie, is ongoing, and authorities are requesting assistance from the public,” the administration stated. “Anyone with information is urged to contact 911. Our prayers are with the Guthrie family as we hope for Nancy’s safe return home.”
