Kai Trump, the US President’s granddaughter, has come under fire on social media after sharing what she considers her ‘dream job’, with some commenters branding her “clueless” and “out of touch”.
Kai, 18, is the oldest daughter of Donald Trump Jr. and his ex-wife Vanessa, and she has committed to the University of Miami.
She plans to study marketing and management, and is also expected to compete in golf during her freshman year after recently returning to the sport following wrist surgery.
As she prepares for high school graduation, Kai posted an Instagram Q&A to address various topics, including how her recovery has been progressing.
One response in particular drew significant attention, with hundreds of people weighing in after she answered a question about her long-term ambitions.
Asked what her “dream job” would be, Kai replied: “My dream job is literally what I’m doing now.

“Playing golf, social media, entertaining, creating my own business, I think that’s my dream job,” she alleged.
She also said she’d like to travel widely, meet new people, and keep building on her entrepreneurial goals.
The short video, shared with her 2.7 million followers, has already pulled in more than 865,000 views — and a wave of criticism from some viewers.
“So basically unemployed wonderful dream,” alleged one social media user.
“There was no job mentioned,” echoed someone else.
“Serious question. Since you’re already doing what you love and you have plenty of money, what is the point of you going to University?,” a third questioned.
“Clueless. Out of touch,” remarked a fourth.
Not everyone agreed with the backlash, however, and some users defended her for being open about what she wants.
“That is pretty good,” one supporter wrote.
A second added: “You just stay true to you who cares!”
“I’m sorry but why do you guys hate on her and bash her about politics when she’s not even apart of it I don’t even like Trump but she has done nothing wrong,” a fellow Instagram user added.
Kai has previously suggested she doesn’t want her life to revolve around politics. Speaking during an episode of WWE wrestler Logan Paul’s Impaulsive podcast, she discussed her family background and insisted she prefers to steer clear of the political arena.

“To be honest with you, I stay out of politics completely. I’d never run [for President]. I don’t want anything to do with politics because I feel like politics is such a dangerous thing.
“I think if both sides met in the middle everyone would be so much happier,” the LGPA golfer continued.
“There’s a radical left, radical right, there’s a lot of people who get too extreme.”
She went on to say that while she considers herself “very much in the middle,” she would still back “her grandpa” during his second term in the Oval Office.
Representatives for Kai Trump have been contacted for comment.
