Blac Chyna hit with staggering tax debt years after Rob Kardashian’s child support payments ended

Blac Chyna owes the state of California more than $116,000 in unpaid taxes.

The California Franchise Tax Board filed a $116,732.37 lien against Angela White, the 38-year-old reality star known professionally as Blac Chyna, for the 2024 taxable year. The debt comes well after her ex Rob Kardashian, 39, stopped sending monthly child-support checks for their 9-year-old daughter, Dream.

Kardashian had originally committed to $20,000 a month after the former couple hammered out a custody deal in 2017. That arrangement collapsed within months. In November 2018, he asked a court to slash the payments, arguing that their explosive split had wrecked his ability to earn. By March 2019, the two had scrapped child support entirely. Under the revised terms, each parent covers Dream’s costs during their own parenting time and they split major bills like medical care and school.

Chyna once framed the no-support life as a point of pride. During a 2020 interview on SiriusXM’s Hip Hop Nation, she called raising her children without child support her “biggest flex.”

“Just honestly taking care of my kids by myself as a single parent, but no child support,” she said at the time.

That tone shifted dramatically two years later. In March 2022, she aired grievances about financial strain, claiming she had been forced to surrender three vehicles because she was a single mother receiving “no support.”

Both Kardashian and Tyga, another ex, swiftly contested her account. Kardashian detailed his own spending on Dream: $37,000 annually for school, plus medical bills and extracurriculars, while keeping her Tuesday through Saturday. Tyga, 36, who shares 14-year-old son King Cairo with Chyna, said he paid $40,000 a year for the boy’s tuition and housed him Monday through Saturday.

Tyga’s child support obligations were wiped out in a 2023 custody settlement. That agreement granted joint legal and physical custody, with Chyna getting King from Friday through Monday and Tyga taking the rest of the week.

The tax lien surfaces during a stretch of renewed public interest in Chyna and Kardashian’s connection. Last October, she posted photos of herself in all-white and tagged him with the caption, “This love is forever.” He stoked reconciliation chatter by liking the post.

Days later, Chyna spoke about their status at the Los Angeles Women’s Expo, describing a slow rebuilding process. “We’re just taking our time. I’m excited. He’s my person,” she said, while noting that any full reunion would be “God’s will.” She also said they were “healing,” communicating and “just going with the flow.”

By December 24, she had closed the door on the speculation, announcing she would finish the year single.

Chyna’s representative did not immediately respond to a request for comment on the tax lien.

The financial pressure on Chyna arrives as she continues what she has described as a personal transformation, including a dramatic short pixie cut she debuted recently. Her public image has long toggled between independence and vulnerability, a tension visible in her shifting statements about single motherhood.

Kardashian, for his part, has kept a lower profile in recent years, making only rare appearances at family events while co-parenting Dream. His last visible outing came at sister Kim Kardashian’s 46th birthday celebration.

Chyna is scheduled to appear at the Los Angeles Women’s Expo again later this year.
