Hailey Bieber, 29, has posed fully nude for the cover of ICE Magazine’s “The Brazil Issue,” a decision she says she would have rejected with any other photographer.
The Rhode founder appears lounging in the buff while sipping GuaranĂ¡ Antarctica, a Brazilian soft drink, with only strategic tan lines as her wardrobe. Her longtime friend Renell Medrano lensed the images in Rio during Carnival 2026.
Bieber once drew a hard line against such exposure. In a 2021 conversation with “Insecure” star Yvonne Orji about career and Christian faith, she stated flatly, “I wouldn’t ever want to be shot naked.” Her stance has since shifted, and she credits her decade-plus friendship with Medrano for the change.
“I’m comfortable with her pushing me, photographing me differently, helping me be seen in a different way, because I know she just wants me to be comfortable in myself, too,” the mom of one told the magazine.
She continued, “I would never have done that, shown that much, with anybody else but her.”
The shoot carries deep personal significance beyond the artistic collaboration. Bieber’s mother, Kennya, is Brazilian, and her maternal grandfather is Grammy-winning composer and bossa nova legend Eumir Deodato. The issue itself is titled “The Brazil Issue,” grounding the project in her heritage.
“They really did nurture and develop my love of Brazilian culture, because that’s who they are, it’s where they come from,” Bieber told the magazine of her mother and grandmother.
She added that watching the women in her family embrace their bodies helped shape her own confidence. “Watching the woman who’s raising you be really comfortable in her body is something I’m very grateful for,” she said. “It always helped me embrace myself.”
Inside the issue, Bieber also models a pink and yellow tape bikini, referencing the Brazilian sunbathing practice of using colored electrical tape to create sharp tan lines. She additionally poses in a sheer yellow Only Hearts bra paired with a celestial Piers Atkinson headpiece.
Tina Kunakey and Juliana NalĂº join Bieber as fellow cover stars for the third edition of ICE Magazine.
The project includes a charitable component: a portion of each magazine sale benefits the Center for Immigrant and Refugee Women in SĂ£o Paulo, with Bieber matching the total contribution.
Bieber’s inner circle reacted enthusiastically to the cover on Instagram. Cousin Ireland Baldwin wrote, “Wooooooooah đŸ”¥,” while KhloĂ© Kardashian commented, “Meoooow,” and Kylie Jenner posted “OMG.”
The ICE Magazine cover follows another provocative recent appearance. She and husband Justin Bieber appeared packing on PDA in bed for the inaugural issue of WYouth, published Monday.
