Jane Fonda Announces Her Cancer Is in Remission and Will Discontinue Chemotherapy

Jane Fonda is celebrating the best birthday present ever – her cancer is in remission! The 85-year-old screen icon was given fantastic news from her doctors, who told her she could discontinue chemotherapy ahead of her birthday next week.

Fans of the Barbarella star have taken to social media to send their well-wishes.

‘Last week my oncologist told me that my cancer is in remission and I can discontinue chemo,’ she wrote in a lengthy post.

Jane Fonda has some great news to share! After battling cancer, the legendary actress has just announced she’s been given the all-clear. The 78-year-old thanked her fans for sending good thoughts her way and believes it helped her recovery.

Jane had been diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in September but said it was ‘very treatable’ at the time. She now feels ‘blessed and fortunate’ to have made a full recovery.

‘I’m especially happy because while my first 4 chemo treatments were rather easy for me, only a few days of being tired, the last chemo session was rough and lasted 2 weeks making it hard to accomplish much of anything.’
