The rare glimpse came months after Carey hilariously crashed Moroccan’s Twitch livestream in March. “Chat my mom’s here,” he announced on the stream before asking his famous mother if she would like to say “hi” to his viewers.

“Hi guys,” she said. “I want them to know that I love them.”

Moroccan quickly cut off the interaction, but told his mother that he loved her before promising to join her after he finished his stream.

Carey shares the twins with ex-husband Nick Cannon, 45. The former couple wed in 2008 before welcoming Moroccan and Monroe in 2011. They separated in 2014 and finalized their divorce in 2016.

The exes have largely kept their children out of the spotlight, though they occasionally share photos for holidays and milestones.

Cannon sparked conversation back in May when he discussed his different dating rules for the twins on the “Podcast.” He revealed that while Moroccan is allowed to date, Monroe faces stricter boundaries.

“My son been dating and I’ve allowed it,” Cannon said on the podcast. “I’ve encouraged it.”

When asked if he applied the same standard to his daughter, he replied, “No, absolutely not … [it’s] absolutely a double standard.”

He continued, “First of all — and I know I get in trouble a lot because I say things with my chest — but there is a difference when parenting a son and when parenting a daughter.”

“I am more protective of my daughter because there’s things out there that I have to protect my daughter from,” he added.

He went on, “Like, as we know, there’s certain types of individuals that you want to keep your daughter away from. My son, it’s a different conversation when he’s going out into the dating world.”

The holiday photo drop marked one of the few times fans have seen the teenagers this year. Carey and Cannon have maintained their co-parenting arrangement while keeping Moroccan and Monroe’s public appearances limited to special occasions.
